Say hello to Railchap

The future of railway inspection and light maintenance

Railchap® in a nutshell

Railchap® is set to play a pivotal role in next generation railway maintenance, using Railway Robotics’ disruptive and patented technology. Railchap® is a flexible and light-weight platform for inspection and light maintenance tasks, such as lubricating switches. During track operations,  Railchap® can be remote controlled or follow a pre-programmed route under the supervision of an operator with line of sight to the robot.

Railchap® collects multi-disciplinary sensor data in an efficient and consistent manner with minimal track occupancy. Sensor data is uploaded directly to a cloud-based data repository with APIs for further analytics and integration with asset management systems. This allows for more frequent inspections, thus enabling the asset management system to discover deterioration trends of assets. The benefit for infrastructure owners is enhanced maintenance accuracy and reduced Life Cycle Cost for the assets.
